Designed with mature travellers in mind, it combines Chinese culture, gentle, everyday wellbeing activities and celebrated sights at a comfortable pace with time for rest and relaxation. CHINESE CULTURE AT THE HEART
  • Chinese Ink Painting Appreciation & Learning — View, discuss and practise traditional brush-and-ink painting in relaxed sessions guided by artist Liu Ruiyou. No art experience required.
  • Chinese Tea Culture — Learn about traditional preparation, serving methods and the place of tea in everyday Chinese life.
  • Intangible Cultural Heritage — Join a hands-on craft workshop and discover skills passed down through generations.
  • Beijing Heritage & Daily Life — Explore renowned landmarks, including The Great Wall of China, The Forbidden City, The Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace, traditional Beijing hutong neighbourhoods and enjoy selected traditional and modern Beijing experiences.

MEET YOUR PROGRAMME CONTRIBUTORS

Liu Ruiyou:
Chinese ink painting artist and tutor.

A graduate of Capital Normal University’s Academy of Fine Arts, he has served on Beijing art committees and is a member of the Beijing Artists Association. He is also a director of the Chinese Guohua Painters Association. His work has appeared widely in newspapers and art publications, and three solo collections have been published.

Chen Guimin:
Traditional Chinese Wellbeing Contributor.

Chen Guimin introduces participants to traditional Chinese approaches to relaxation and everyday wellbeing. He also provides optional traditional Chinese relaxation massage sessions as part of the programme.
