Thirty-three years ago, we created this party with a vision—a vision of hope and a heart to fight for every New Zealander to have the chance of a better future for their children and grandchildren.
We have been in government four times, but we have never had the numbers needed to truly create full-scale change. However, with your past support, we have raised the roof when other parties wouldn’t lift a finger.
We have demonstrated our support for Seniors at every turn:
In 1996, we stopped the surtax and increased the rate of Superannuation.
In 2005, we introduced the SuperGold card, upgrading it in 2017 and again in 2026—making it an official photo ID now used by over 900,000 Kiwis. We introduced the Winter Energy Payment in 2017 and fought to maintain it.
We stand firm: the Superannuation eligibility age stays at 65. It is not a bottom line; it is a top line.
For this election, New Zealand First’s policies focus on substantive, structural reform:
Cost of Living: We will lower electricity bills by splitting up power gentailers so they don’t control both power and price, and cut grocery costs by breaking up the supermarket duopoly.
Economic Sovereignty: We will back a dedicated New Zealand Bank to keep capital and profits working for Kiwis and establish a $100 billion ‘Future Fund’ to invest in a 30-year infrastructure plan. .
The Next Generation: We will auto-enroll every newborn into KiwiSaver with a $1,000 kickstart, make KiwiSaver mandatory with higher contribution rates, and launch a $5,000-a-year ‘Kiwi Kids Grant’ for a child’s first three years (up to three children).
We put New Zealand First—it’s in our name. But more than that, we put New Zealanders first.
There is a lot of uncertainty around the world and at home, but we must keep hope alive that, with hard work and perseverance, tomorrow will be better.
Our vision and mission is to protect, save, and restore New Zealand’s place at the top of the world. With your support, we can put New Zealand and New Zealanders first.
Party Vote New Zealand First.
