World Journeys has a new range of hosted tours, designed especially for women. They are fully escorted from New Zealand with a maximum group size of just 10 guests creating a very personal, convivial atmosphere.
Kate Couling says: “We are increasingly hearing from women wanting to travel with other women – often their husbands don’t want to travel, they are widowed, or they are simply keen to travel to exotic, off-the-beaten-track places but are hesitant to do so on their own.
“These tours are also perfect for those single travellers who perhaps feel a little out of place on a tour which is mainly made up of couples!”
The new tours include a focus on cultural elements such as cooking classes, artisan workshops, visits to women’s co-operatives, and other interactions with women keen to share their traditions.
“This is where real human connections are made”, Kate says.
The first tour released is a 15-day Moroccan Heartbeat journey departing September 19, 2026.
Highlights include the charming capital of Rabat, a photography walking tour in the blue-washed town of Chefchaouen, the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a textiles class and riad stay in Fes, a luxury desert camp in Merzouga Sands, and the souks of Marrakech. Another tour explores the Colours of India.
Airfares from Auckland are included, as is tipping, which is handled by the host who accompanies the group throughout the journey.
