Chit Chat – September 2026

Kapiti Coast Grey Power member, Grace Terry shares amusing remarks made by two of her great-grandchildren when talking with her son (their Grandfather). They made the whole family laugh.

FOOTLOOSE!

So, Andy’s four-year-old granddaughter was given a pair of pink, sparkly shoes for Christmas. She tried them on while she was sitting in the lounge but she had them on the wrong feet. Son said to her, “you’ve got them on the wrong feet”. She looked down at her feet in disbelief. Then, looking quite crestfallen, she exclaimed quite innocently, “but these are the only feet I’ve got!”

YEAH, RIGHT!

Son was out in the garden when his six-year-old grandchild pointed to a bird in a tree and said, “what’s that bird, Grandad?” He replied: “that’s a tui.” Grandson’s immediate question was: “is that the bird they squeeze to make the beer?”
