Magazine subscriptions clarified

There has been some confusion as to where and how members can subscribe to the quarterly physical magazine so they can receive it by post.

The magazine subscription is not to be confused with your local association subs which are made to your local association’s account. The magazine subscription is paid direct to the Federation and has been instigated to cover postage costs which have escalated in recent times.

The annual $10.00 sub covers home delivery of four magazines.

When you have received four copies, your subscription will be due for renewal. Subscription can be taken up at any time throughout the year.

To set up a payee on line from your bank account please remember to put the word ‘magazine’ in the ‘particulars’ tab and your membership number in the ‘reference’ tab.

You must also be sure to put in the full Federation a/c name as the payee.

This is in accordance with new banking security regulations.

For example:
  • Payee: Grey Power New Zealand Federation Incorporated
  • Account: 38-9018-0089518-00
  • Amount: $10.00
Their statement:

Particulars: magazine
Code:
Reference: your membership number

Your statement:

Repeat as in their statement

There is no need to complete the ‘code’ bar but some people may like to insert their surname there as an extra although this is not necessary.

Hopefully, this will help those who are keen to receive the physical magazine by post but have not been clear on the bank transfer procedure. And, remember to put the full name of the Federation (as shown above) in the payee box.

You can also pay magazine subs with your credit card or online banking through the membership portal on Grey Power’s website.

The Grey Power Federation Facebook page is now live! We invite you to visit and ‘like’ the page to help strengthen our digital presence and support the important work of Grey Power.
