Warm applause at the AGM greeted the news that Carters Tyre Service has now partnered with Grey Power bringing many fresh benefits to members.
With 50 stores nationwide, members across the country can benefit from savings such as 25% off vehicle tyres and 20% off all other services.
However, there is more to the Carters Tyre Service brand that just discounts.
With a long-standing reputation for putting safety first, the company takes tyre health seriously. Wheel alignment and balancing, correct tyre pressure, tyre rotation and the all-essential tread depth measurement are forefront of service at every branch.
Company spokesperson, Dave Dellabarca says 40% of all WOF checks fail, often due to insufficient tyre tread and that can lead to driving an unsafe and non-compliant vehicle.
“On top of that, our Tyres on the Go technicians find that around 70% of the tyres they inspect are underinflated,” he says. “This can reduce fuel efficiency, increase stopping distance, accelerate uneven tyre wear, and even cause potential tyre failure. It also affects braking ability, suspension, steering, and overall safety.”

“Our on-the-road vans are equipped with state-of-the-art tyre fitting equipment, including on-site pressure checks and wheel balancing technology,” says Dave Dellabarca.
“This is a fully online service where you book and pay for your tyres at a time that suits you, and we come to you. Whether you’re at home or work, our Tyres on the Go vans are available in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, and Christchurch. While the service is ideal for fleet customers, we’re just as happy helping individual drivers too.”
