In the last week I had the pleasure of joining the lovely ladies in the EAT office, taking calls, tracking parcels and connecting with our customers.
I am not often on the phones or manning reception so, when I am, I am either greeted warmly by long-standing customers who remember me and are keen to chat, or customers who ask ‘Where is Raewyn?’ They may fear I am new and will stuff-up their order.
When I tell them that I have worked here for 17 years and I am one of the owners, I am usually provided with a lovely feedback-session as to how well we are doing.
I also get a lot of, “why did you take the smoked salmon pasta off the menu and when is it coming back?” Christmas… I promise!
The one thing I genuinely love and appreciate from our customers is feedback. Good or bad! I love hearing how we are doing, what we could be doing better and what our customers enjoy.

One customer spoke to me for 30 minutes about the other ready-meal companies whose meals she had tried in the name of market research. I have also tried them all.
We discussed our thoughts on these ‘competitors’ and whilst our opinions were very similar, she was very quick to add ‘I always come back to you though.’
It warms my heart that after dipping their fork in another company’s meal tray that they come back!
They return because of our variety, the ease of ordering and the lovely ladies in the office who are so familiar with everyone who calls.
The ladies deliver wonderful customer service and are genuinely here to make things as easy and stress-free as possible.
