89 AND BEYOND!
At 89 years old, Mary Baker Eddy, who founded the Christian Science movement, was still in control of the Church of Christ Scientist as she called it.
Simply put, her creed was that strength of mind could control the weaknesses of the body something she had proved to herself.
In her younger years she had suffered seizures and a nervous collapse but on applying the principle of spiritual healing, she cured herself and then decided to teach others to ‘will themselves’ better.
DEVOTED DOCTOR
At 89 years old most folk would be thinking it’s time to relax but some think otherwise.
French missionary doctor, Albert Schweitzer devoted his life to caring for the sick at a hospital he established in Gabon, West Africa.
In 1964, he was still in charge at the age of 89.
